Julius K9 Swimming and Therapy / Rehabilitation Harness

The Swimming and Therapy/Rehabilitation Harness by Julius K9 is great for general water activities, mobility rehabilitation and keeping your dog warm on cold or rainy days. The neoprene vest features thick adjustable straps that wrap perfectly around your dog's body for a secure and comfortable fit. For dogs that suffer from mobility or balance issues, the strong handle stitched to the top of the harness allows you to effectively support your dog while walking and getting up. When used on land, the vest provides great protection from the rain, wind and cold.

Neon coloured material is stitched onto the front and the back of the harness allowing you to spot your dog easier if they're in the water - particularly murky water including creeks and rivers. The neoprene vest can be submerged underwater without weighing your dog down. If your dog requires additional buoyancy, you can place a set of foam pads into the designated foam pad pockets found on the inner lining of the vest. The removable foam pads are a great safety addition for adventurous dogs that go swimming in deep or running water. For dogs undergoing mobility rehabilitation training in the water, the foam pads are fantastic in providing your dog with buoyancy to support them during recovery.

Taking your dog's Measurements Correctly

Before purchasing the swimming vest, it is essential that you have measured your dog before correctly to ensure you receive the right vest for your dog. To measure your dog correctly place 4 fingers behind your dog's front legs and measure the circumference of their chest as seen in the diagram below. Once you've measured your dog, refer to the chart above to determine the harness size your dog needs.

Correct Fitting

Incorrect fitting of the harness may result in injury, discomfort or chafing. It's important to check the fitting before proceeding to use the harness. Once the harness is on your dog, you should be able to easily slide your fingers between your dog's back and the harness as seen in the diagrams below.
