The PetSafe Remote Trainer is a static electric remote training collar designed to eliminate unwanted behaviour and reinforce training commands in small pet dogs. Use this trainer to stop your dog from digging up the yard, pulling clothes off the line, jumping on people, sprinting towards the front door, taking food off the bench, and more.
How the PetSafe Lite Remote Trainer - PDT17-16025 Works
Remote Transmitter settings
- Tone-only - Makes a tone sound
- Vibration (Level 0) / Static Stimulation (Levels 1-15) - Delivers safe static stimulations to your pet's receiver collar
- Level Adjusters - Located on the left-hand side of the hand-piece
- Level 0 - Vibration-only stimulation
- Level 1 - Lowest static stimulation level
- Level 15 - Highest static stimulation level
- Dog Selector - Change between which dog receives a correction
The PetSafe Remote Trainer trains your dog out bad behaviour by delivering a safe static correction when you press the stimulation button on your remote transmitter. The remote transmitter fits comfortably in the palm of your hands for discreet dog training. The remote features a tone-only button that delivers a beep (used predominantly as a warning). If your dog ignores the warning tone, you can use the stimulation button to deliver a vibration or static correction.
The remote transmitter features 15 levels of static stimulation and a safety lock on levels 8-15 to prevent any accidental stimulations on the higher levels. The transmitter will not deliver a correction for more than 10 continuous seconds. To continue the corrections, you will need to release your finger from the stimulation button and press down again. With consistent training, your dog will learn to associate the stimulation with a particular behaviour or command.
The LED display screen displays the following:
- The mode you're on
- The static correction level
- The remote's battery life
- Which dog will receive a stimulation (Dog 1 or Dog 2)
